Character Design

In summer this year, one of my friends' friend emailed me about a project. A yoghurt shop in Shanghai owned by her friend wants to find an illustrator to create monthly comic series around their brand character, in the same simple style with colour pencils and with Chinese characteristic. She saw the Haibao comic I did for Shanghai Squared, and thought this similar commission might fit me.

The cartoon character is the girl you can see below. I did several samples. It's not some style I usually do. I liked the ideas and effects I came out with though. And I was interested in the project much. So I applied for the position. But shame they've never got back to me.
