Those Women
I think those people who are studying art at school as they love it, who have opportunities to pursue art abroad as they love it, who are doing art as their career as they love art, are admirable.
我觉得那些在大学里学习艺术的人,那些出国深造艺术的人,那些有机会把艺术作为事业的人......是令人羡慕的。

Peking Opera Roles -1
Peking opera or Beijing opera (Jīngjù) is a form of traditional Chinese theatre which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics. It arose in the late 18th century and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century.

This is a new series of illustration I'm working on. In Peking opera there are four main characters- Sheng(生), Dan(旦), Jing(净), Chou(丑). Read more about it here.
Hua Dan- a young girl full of vivacity and innocence.
Jing- which means all kinds of painted-faces and acts as the male role that has a particular personality or appearance.

Cartoon Portraits Commission
These old photos are found in my hard-disk back to the year of 2006 (I know I was quite fat at that time). I was still in university. I worked for a sports shop during National Holiday for their marketing campaign as what they called "Dalian Young Comic Artist". My job was to draw quick cartoon portraits on T-shirts for the customers who consumed over 400 yuan. It was quite fun. That was my first time to earn money from art.

Summer Trip- People
A Miao woman sewing in Langde Village, Guizhou
A woman resting in Renmin Park in Chengdu
A silent old man on Zhongnan Mountain, taking an afternoon nap
A man relaxing from drinking tea in Renmin Park, Chengdu
A grandfather and his grandson resting on the ground in Langde Village, Guizhou
And... the two travellers under each other's pens
Summer Trip- Scenary
Sketches from my summer trip. I was back to Miao villages in Guizhou again which are nice places to escape to from the summer heat.
