Illustration for the story Stained

I was surprised and more thrilled when reading Stained-a story based the character on me written by my friend Lindsay. It's about an auditor who hates her job but loves art and she draws a monster that comes into life on the Shanghai metro... She described my feelings well.:-)The story is very interesting.I was very happy when Lindsay asked whether I could illustrate it to go with the publish.

Here goes the link of the story.DO READ IT! Thanks for the story Lindsay!

Portraits for Marlene and Liza

Before I left Dalian,I was commissioned to do portraits for these two beautiful Argentinian sisters-Marlene and Liza as souvenir presents before they returned home. It brought me some fun in that freezing season.I was asked to do something Chinese at the background. Here are what I got.Happy to see that they liked them.

You Never Know What's Next

'

I'm back home from the one month travelling.Got much to deal with here at home before leaving again.Yes I'm leaving again. This time is not travelling but something else more like "moving  or living away"-whatever you call it.

Life likes to pull our legs.It can throw you far away, deep to the bottom of desperation and then in the next swirl,it pulls you back to a garden full of roses in bloom. There is a surprise around the next corner waiting for you.You never know, what you will be brought to.My poor little broken toe became a "lucky break".Without it,I would be probably on the way heading to Beijing right now and more years would be there for me to wait for...

Don't hold expectations for life.
If you do,it will let you down.Since none of us is a prophet.

I'm Back

I'm back from travelling in Laos, two weeks earlier than planned because of an accident. My heart still remains in the countrysides there though.

With fruitful memories, I'm in bed now in Kunming, with a foot wrapped.I will try to write something about this trip on my writing blog, but so much is going on my mind currently. It's hard to know where to start to talk about it.I guess I need some time to let my travel mood melted.Yet I'm still on the road right now.The vacantion still gets two weeks to go.My sketches from Laos will come up later.

I Wait

People said real love can pass the test of time. But the fact is love cannot afford the time to be kept waiting.

You quoted Henry David Thoreau,“ The man who goes out alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.”

I'm going to start off to Laos 4 days later. You're heading to Sichuan tonight.Does that mean we both don't need the other one?
