Another sketch from the local activity. I couldn't post more than one pics in one entry through flickr which is really not pleasant...

Here is a sketch of an old woman drinking water and resting. Used charcoal on paper, and then brush water on when I returned home.

We went to see an local activity near our home yesterday morning which lasts from the 26th to 31st, May. A group of old people were dressed up doing Yangge Dance there. Al got much fun from seeing that and he even danced for a bit under a dancer's invitation. . There were also some art shows on in those Japanese houses along the street.

Here are some sketches I did.

My New Tea Set 2 - Gai Wan

My new Plum Flower Gai Wan( also three pieces cup, as in the heaven, the human and the earth )

Material:
Chinese Blue and White Porcelain, made in Jing de zhen.(see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jingdezhen )

My new tea set

I spent 213 yuan on the new tea set for myself- 1 gai wan(three pieces cup), 1 gong dao bei( fair cup) and 8 pin ming bei( small cups for tasting) and a tea tray which is used for making kung fu cha (see http://chineseteas101.com/kungfu.htm ).

My cousin and the holiday

My cousin likes to model for me.Here are two sketches and one photograph of a big amount.

And this is how the real person looks like.My cousin was with a lamb in Dalian Forrest Zoo that just had come to this world for two days. If you wanna know more interesting stuffs from our trip in the zoo, you can find that in my boyfriend Alastair's blog -And Then There Was Alastair from a westerner's vision. :-)

05/06 Painting

Feeling a bit down these days, less inspiration and more frustration.Tired of facing to the laptop in the office. Feeling a bit lost about how I will develop myself in art. I do need some artist friends who can gimme advice and encouragement. While here where I am, sigh...

I was interrupted when painting this one last night by being called to do some company search work. I envy those people who can do something they like as a career. I'm scared of that one day I would lose passion for life, in whatever of it.

05/01 Painting

My cousin came to Dalian yesterday for May Day's Holiday( Labour's Day ). We will take her to the seaside today.Before I leave, I will show you some new work I did last night.
